I'm trying to get back into reasonable shape, and have been looking at bike simulators for indoor riding hoping that I'll use the trainer more often if I can play a game or pretend to ride while using it. I haven't tried any of the subscription based services yet, since I figured I'd try out the free options first, so I'd have something to compare to the paid versions. So far, OrbRider is the best looking freely available option I've found. I'm currently having some issues, but even so I appreciate that you've worked hard to put this together and are willing to share it with us. What I've seen and have been able to use is very impressive, and I just wanted to say thank you for being willing to share it.

I can't get my current setup to work with OrbRider -- I have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (dumb trainer, but with power curves predictable by road speed) and a Garmin speed/cadence sensor. I have an Ant+ interface for PC, and I can get the Ant+ and Trainer icons to turn green, but I don't ever appear to get speed or power readings, and can't get the virtual rider to move. I'm also having other issues (can't get Xbox controller or keyboard to work, but mouse seems OK) which might be interfering with the trainer input though -- should I be able to use a non-smart trainer with OrbRider, or is that something which is currently unsupported?
